Tutorial: My Daily Brow

In this post I'll show you how I create my basic everyday brow. I do switch it up at times, but this is what I typically do.

I'm starting with a natural brow.

Brush the brows with a spoolie so the hairs lay smoothly in line.

For the following steps the top photos are without dots and the bottoms will have the guiding dots, but they are both the same photo/step.

 I always start my brows on the underside, using an angled brush from just before the start of the brow up to the arch. I use a Simga E75 for this step. I am using the Anastasia Dipbrow in Blonde here.

Blend upwards with a spoolie.

With the product left on the brush I lightly brush through the rest of the body of the brow & along the top.

Here is where I switch to the Dark Brown Dipbrow, with a stroke from the top of the arch to the tail.

With the product left on the brush I go from the start of the brow to the tail, since I like to thicken my brow slightly.

Blend with a spoolie.

I then take a little more of the Dark Brown Dipbrow, brush a bit more into the arch, along the bottom and a touch in the front.

Now I brush some clear brow gel through the brows. I use Anastasia Clear Brow Gel.

I like to arch my brow a touch more than my natural arch to lift the eye.

Tutorial: Easy Chocolate Bar Palette Eyeshadow

This is a really easy eye shadow look using the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette.

Start out by priming your eyes. I use Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer.

Apply White Chocolate (matte, cream) from the crease to the brow bone. I use a Sigma E60 for this step.

 Apply Marzipan (shimmer, warm pink) to the center of the lid. I use a MAC 242 for this step to pat the color on.

Apply Amaretto (shimmer, muted burgundy) to both corners. I use a pencil brush for this.

Put a tad of  Milk Chocolate (matte, light brown) to the crease and blend up. I use a Sigma E45 to place & then blend with a MAC 217

Now, deepen up the edges a touch more with Cherry Cordial (matte, red brown).

Highlight the inner corner of the eye, the center of the lid and the brow bone with Champagne Truffle. I used a Sigma E45 for this.

Add some winged liner. Here I used Kat Von D liner in Trooper.

Smudge a bit of Semi-Sweet along the bottom lash line using a pencil brush.

Add some mascara (and lashes) and you're done!

Revolt (bright, metallic silver shimmer with silver glitter): Revolt is a bright silver, goes on well, a tad chunkier than others in texture.

Gonzo (bright turquoise matte with floating tonal pearl): Gonzo is a beautiful cool blue, blends well.

Slowburn (bright red-orange matte with floating pearl): A deep orange leaning towards red, also has a bit of micro glitter. This shade is not FDA approved for the eye area.

Savage (bright hot-pink matte): Super pretty, cool pink, very bright. Blends well. It does stain if you don't have a primer on. Also not FDA approved for the eye area.

 Fringe (bright metallic teal): This is one of my favorites. It blends so well, almost cream texture, and a beautiful teal. 

Chaos (bright blue matte with floating tonal pearl): This is one that can give you trouble blending if you use too much and too sticky of a base. 

Jilted (bright metallic fuchsia with blue shift): This color gives me the most staining if I don't have a base shadow down under it. The fuchsia to blue shift is SO gorgeous. Not FDA approved for the eye area.

Urban (bright metallic purple): This color is my new favorite purple. It's very purple, very pigmented and blends wonderfully. Also not FDA approved for the eye area.

 Freak (bright green with gold shift): Very fun green, I have no other colors like it. Blends well.

Thrash (bright lime green matte with floating gold pearl): My favorite green I own. Very nice as an inner corner highlight, if you're into that. This shadow is the one I get the least payoff with, it needs a primer for sure.

Price: 8.5/10 

 Each eye shadow pan is 1.2 grams, so the palette a total of 12 grams of product. The amount of product and taking into account how pigmented they are makes it a good price for the palette. The palette also comes with a brush which is actually not that bad.

Pigmentation: 9/10

The pigmentation on these is pretty crazy. They are pressed pigments, so they apply better over a sticky base, but if you wear a base you barely need any product. The only color I don't get as much payoff as I'd like is Thrash.

Texture: 9/10

The texture is very nice, almost creamy feeling. They glide on and blend out because of this odd texture.

Packaging: 7.5/10

The packaging is sturdy which is something I like. It's plastic or something and hard, so it's not going to break. It is a tad bulky, a touch thicker than my Naked 2 and I prefer sleek packaging. The packaging looks cool, full of color, like colored clouds. Overall, looks cool, but personally not my style.

Overall Quality: 10/10 
The packaging is sturdy, the colors are super pigmented, the color selection is pretty good & the colors work on all parts of your face. Overall, I'm a big fan.

Repurchase: Yes

I use colored shadows frequently & I also like that I can use these anywhere on the face. I also love the texture.

Pros: Texture, pigmentation, colors, versatility

Cons: Could use more warm colors, not for sensitive eyes

Overall, I really like the palette and I have been using it a lot. I've used it to create specific looks just using this palette and also to just ad a touch of color here and there. I think this palette is a good start for someone who wants to wear more color, since you'll get a lot of colors and with 10 pans of 1.2 grams you'd probably end up spending more money buying the colors as singles. However, if you have sensitive eyes or know you're sensitive to red/pink pigments, I'd pass unless you're okay with not using four of the colors on your eyes. If you don't have eye sensitivities and you love color or would like to start adding pops of color, I'd highly recommend it.
